International Day of Actions against Dams, for Rivers, Water and Life

Today, March 14, is International Day of Actions against Dams, for Rivers, Water and Life. This day was launched in 1997 at the initiative of the public organization "International Network of Rivers" (USA).

The purpose of this holiday is to unite the efforts of people around the world in the fight against dams, as well as to raise awareness about the impact of dams on river ecosystems. Today's motto is "For rivers, water and life".

River Day draws the attention of all mankind to the fact that the creation of dams negatively affects the development of the reservoirs themselves and the condition of other natural objects. So let's protect our nature and live in harmony with it!
