Traditionally Mykolaiv Zoo celebrates its birthday in September, simultaneously with celebration of the Day of the city. Today, on September 22, on the central square of the zoo celebrations on the occasion of the 119th anniversary of the zoo took place. The mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Syenkevych, the chief of Management on questions of culture and protection of cultural heritage Yuri Lyubarov, the head of the Mykolaiv regional committee of trade union of workers of culture Lyubov Nazarova came to congratulate the staff of the zoo.
Flowers, diplomas and valuable gifts were given to animal care workers, zootechnicians, accountants, drivers - all who provide work for one of the oldest cultural institutions in the city.
