Today, the long-awaited cargo arrived at Mykolaiv Zoo from our colleagues – the zoos of Europe.

We thank the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria for organizing fundraising, purchasing feeds for animals and organizing their delivery to Mykolaiv Zoo.

The feeds received by Mykolaiv Zoo are extremely important and necessary for us. Today, 11.5 tons of different feeds in the amount of 17,870.79 euros were unloaded into the zoo storage building. These are feeds for flamingos, parrots, ostriches, hornbills, elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, zebras, herbivores, sheep, turtles, tortoises, pond fish, mice and rats.

This assistance is a fact of confirmation of the commonwealth of zoos. A truck with a similar set of feeds left Mykolaiv to deliver the cargo to Kharkiv Zoo.
