Today, Mykolaiv Zoo was pleased to welcome everyone to the “Festival of Friendship of Peoples”, which is held as part of the intercultural project “MYKOLAIV. WE ARE DIFFERENT. WE ARE TOGETHER!”, which is being implemented for the “Day of International Harmony and Cultural Diversity”.
The Mykolaiv region is diverse, intercultural. Many dozens of different ethnic groups live here in friendship and harmony, preserving their cultural traditions. Today, the audience had the opportunity to see incredibly bright show – songs and dances of different peoples. Young artists from the Mykolaiv Professional College of Culture and Arts presented their performances. Representatives of various national societies – Bulgarian, Armenian, Korean, Roma, Hungarian – were also present at the holiday. They presented wonderful songs and dances, as well as exhibitions of decorative art. The holiday was opened by the director of Mykolaiv Zoo, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Volodymyr Topchy and the chairman of the Mykolaiv City Council of National Societies Anar Akhundov.
