For several years in a row, Mykolaiv Zoo has been holding the wonderful Japanese holiday Hanami, which means admiring flowers. For many Japanese, cherry blossoms symbolize human life, transience and nobility. The Japanese love to celebrate and cherish the cherry blossoms during their limited blooming period, and many people host "blossom viewing" parties known as hanami.
The Japanese cherries came to our park from Japan itself, they were presented by the director of Ueno Zoo (Tokyo) Toshimitsu Doi. The trees have taken root well, becoming more luxurious every year. And we have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a stunningly beautiful spectacle. These pale flowers, known as "sakura" in Japanese, are not only a symbol of spring – they represent renewal and hope. Let's all admire the cherry blossoms together and express our wish that our common hope for a peaceful future of Ukraine will come true! And let it be so!
Tomorrow we also invite you to Hanami at 12:00 p.m.
