Immobilization of a 19-year-old male jaguar

Today, zoo specialists immobilized a 19-year-old male jaguar (Panthera onca) named Amigo for the purpose of diagnosis and health examination. During the procedure, the oral cavity was inspected, the claws were trimmed, skin damage was treated, and other hygienic procedures were performed. 19 years for a jaguar is a very respectable age, and such procedures are a necessary part of the zoo's work.
