On the occasion of the 122nd anniversary of Mykolaiv Zoo, for many years of fruitful work, as well as for significant achievements in work, a significant contribution to the development of Mykolaiv Zoo, our employees received an honorary award, the Order of Mykola Leontovych: head of the Aquaterrarium department Alla Viktorivna Kotenko, animal care worker Lyudmila Terentiivna Bondarchuk, head of the warehouse Lyubov Volodymyrivna Shevchenko and head of the material and technical support department Ihor Petrovych Kramarenko. All these employees have worked at the zoo for more than 25 years!

The order named after the founder of Mykolaiv Zoo, Mykola Pavlovych Leontovych, was approved in 2011 to reward services to the zoo and society in the protection and preservation of the animal world, for a significant contribution to the development of Mykolaiv Zoo and the zoo business as a whole. It has already been awarded to dozens of people in Ukraine and abroad, employees of our and other zoos, people who have made a significant contribution to the preservation of the animal world.
