May 8 – Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II.
Today we honor the memory of millions of people who lost their lives in the struggle against nazism, and we express our gratitude to all who defended freedom and their homeland.
Ukraine suffered enormous losses during World War II: destroyed cities and villages, millions of lives lost, and the pain and suffering of an entire generation.
Today, Ukrainians are once again forced to fight for their state, freedom, and future. Our warriors continue the cause of those who once defeated nazism.
We bow our heads in memory of the fallen of the past and the Heroes who are defending Ukraine today.
…Today, Mykolaiv Zoo joined in commemorating this day and held a festive concert. Students of the Mykolaiv Professional College of Culture and Arts gifted us their incredible talent and artistry.
Several hundred spectators enjoyed the performance of the young artists, and several thousand senior citizens were able to visit the zoo free of charge today…
We remember. We prevail.
Glory to Ukraine!
