Today, a solemn special ceremony of cancellation of stamps and envelopes "Mykolaiv Zoo 500 Days in the War" took place. Sets, consisting of an envelope with a stamp and a block of 9 stamps, were offered for sale. The main theme is the difficult wartime that the zoo experienced during the 500 days of the war. The stamps depict rockets that fell on the territory of the zoo, animals, and also, for the first time in history, the fallen soldiers: Dmytro Rieznik and Pavlo Shevchenko, who worked in our zoo and gave their lives for our freedom. These stamps are our very small tribute to these guys, they are forever in our memory.

The circulation was very small, so the sets were sold out almost instantly. But to all those who didn't have time to purchase, and upon numerous requests, we suggest following our announcements, there will be another edition. Thank you all for your attention, thank you to the honorary members of the commission for their participation and, of course, to Ukrposhta for this opportunity to engrave Mykolaiv Zoo in history!!!
