The third mini-lecture of the "Zoo in the palm of your hand" cycle called "How scary snakes are" took place today. During the event, young and adult visitors learned a lot of interesting things about snakes, were able to communicate with a ball python, and helped feed a lizard. Also, everyone who wanted could get used to the role of a real snake and take bright photos in a mask.
Special attention was paid to the formation of the ecological outlook of children (and adults as well). We also paid attention to the snakes of our fauna and taught the audience to distinguish viper from non-venomous snake. We hope that after our lecture, after interacting with snakes, visitors will change their attitude towards these interesting animals and will not consider them ugly and scary.
