Today, on Christmas Day, the zoo carried out a complex and responsible work. As part of the European bison conservation program, our adult female named Gaya, born in 2009, was sent to Cherkasy Zoo to the male, who had been waiting for her for a long time. The sending process took 5 hours. She did not really want to leave Mykolaiv Zoo, the animal is large and dangerous, but everything was worked out professionally and the animal is already on its way. Now we need to get a young male European bison from Hungary for our young female.
