In the dark times of war, Mykolaiv Zoo continues to cooperate with the international zoo community, including the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), where our zoo, the only zoo in Ukraine, was accepted in 2003. Thanks to cooperation with similar organizations, we exchange valuable experience and knowledge.

The experience of Mykolaiv Zoo during the full-scale invasion of the russian federation is described in detail in our new brochure "Mykolaiv Zoo. Trial". We have sent English copies of this brochure to our colleagues abroad, including to WAZA's head office in Barcelona. Chief Executive Officer of WAZA, Martín Zordan, expressed his impressions and wishes in a letter that we bring to your attention.
