Day of veterinary medicine workers is a professional holiday of Ukraine.
It is established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine № 1035/2001 of November 1, 2001, celebrated annually on the second Sunday of August.

The work of a veterinarian is an extremely responsible business that requires those who want to do it great willpower, patience, intelligence, and, most importantly, sincere love for animals. The work requires ability to handle stress and composure.
No zoo can exist without kind and skilled "Doctor Aibolit". Veterinarians treat diseases and injuries of animals, help babies to be born if necessary, carry out a lot of work on disease prevention, vaccinate, disinfect, control the quality of animal feed.
