December 19 is the Day of Evergreen Plants. This day aims to raise people's awareness of the importance of preserving evergreen plants. After all, they can be green throughout the year and please the eye with all shades of green, which has a calming effect on people.
Mykolaiv Zoo arboretum is 45 years old. A significant number of species are made up of evergreen plants, because they create beauty and comfort in the off-season. Useful phytoncides also play a big role, with which they saturate the air even in winter. And what a unique aroma juniper, pine, spruce exude! How beautiful the red berries of pyracantha, yew and holly look against the background of general grayness! Honeysuckle and ivy weave in a green waterfall, the majestic laurel and cherry laurel flaunt their luxurious green attire. Oregon grape has spread its branches widely, densely hung with small indigo-colored berries. Wandering through our park in winter, we admire the special mystery of nature! A special place is the I.M. Kanayev alley, along which majestic blue fir trees, boxwoods and junipers reign. In winter, it is evergreen plants that feel like the center of our human attention, when everyone else is asleep and does not interfere with their dominance.
Therefore, we invite everyone to relaxation and phytotherapy sessions at Mykolaiv Zoo! We work daily from 9:00 to 16:00.
