Today amazing birds, fairy-tale fish, mermaids and jellyfish were met by the public on the alleys of the zoo, and in the central square you could see the bright dances of these fairy-tale heroes. So the young dancers congratulated their grandparents on the International Day of Older Persons, which is celebrated today.
All people of respectable age today have an opportunity to visit Mykolaiv Zoo free of charge.
From the stage of the zoo, our retirees were congratulated on the holiday by the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Syenkevych and he presented gifts to our veterans - the elderly who have worked for many years, and some of them still work at the zoo.
Soloists of the Mykolaiv regional philharmonic society, the Honored artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Sychyov, and the winner of a grand prize of the International competition of vocalists in the name of Yu. Bogatikov, Denis Misanchuk, sang for our guests today.
Bright dance performances were presented by the Dance Theater "Rhythms of the planet" in the name of Vasyl Pak. And the premiere of the item of the program "Mermaid" caused special applause.
"Autumn of Life" - that's what we called our program. And we wish all the elderly a long, warm and generous autumn.
