Today we are combining two columns in one post! The young photo correspondents from the Zoo’s Young Biologists Club are opening this year’s series dedicated to the plants of our park with their wonderful photographs. And, as tradition has it, the first to appear in this column are the lovely snowdrops.
This year we have a record — never before during the entire time we’ve been publishing this column have the snowdrops bloomed so late! Winter simply doesn’t want to leave us!
Although the first warm days have already done their job — we have the first delicate flowers. You can see what our snowdrops look like right now in the photographs taken by our young photo artists.
We have a request for you — please help us choose the winner of the photo contest. The author of the photograph that receives the most likes will win a prize.
And perhaps you can help us come up with a new creative name for our regular column, where we share which beautiful plants can be seen in the zoo during different times of the year. In previous years, this column was called “Blooming Calendar,” “Cozy Corners of the Zoo,” and “A Kaleidoscope of Incredible Beauty.” What title would you suggest for the column? Write your ideas in the comments!
