On November 10, 2020 at 12 o'clock there will be a solemn laying of a capsule on the occasion of the beginning of works on new construction of summer enclosures "Beasts island". Construction works will be performed by LLC INZh-Stroy.
In 1978 Mykolaiv Zoo moved to the new territory in the center of which there is a complex "Beasts island".
At that time, the summer enclosures of this complex were partially built on one side, and on the other side the construction was suspended at the initial stage. Because of this, some big cats living in Mykolaiv Zoo currently have only a closed winter enclosure indoors, without the possibility of access to fresh air.
The director of the zoo Topchy Volodymyr Mykolayovych did not give up the idea to complete the construction and continued to work in this direction. Much effort has been made to complete these enclosures. The logical step was to apply to the design organization and order a project for a complex of summer enclosures for big cats.
In 2017 Mykolaiv Zoo at the expense of own means which earned thanks to the economic activity, ordered design documentation in LLC AVTOGRAF-N. They designed a modern complex for big cats on the unfinished territory of the "Beasts island".
With the support of Mayor Syenkevych Oleksandr Fedorovych, funds were allocated for the construction of this facility, which will be financed from the city budget.
It is on the occasion of the long-awaited start of construction of a complex of enclosures for big cats the solemn laying of the capsule is held on November 10, 2020 at 12.00.
