January 29, 2025 begins the new year according to the eastern calendar. The symbol of 2025 is a green wooden snake. According to the beliefs of the inhabitants of the Celestial Empire, this will be a period of changes, new opportunities, because the snake is a symbol of flexibility, wisdom, calmness, intuition and the ability to adapt to any conditions. We really need all these qualities now!
In Chinese astrology, the snake is considered the most mysterious and strongest animal. Therefore, when it has an impact on a certain year, it is always a period of powerful transformations, new challenges, self-knowledge. Chinese wisdom claims that this will be a year of long-term plans and strategic actions. Therefore, it is very important to approach any of your decisions carefully, always relying on intuition. Since the Snake is focused on science and acquiring new knowledge, during this period technical progress will not stand still, and we should expect further development of AI, solving the problems of pandemics and climate change, and success in the professional plan will be achieved mainly by lone geniuses.
In the year of the Snake, you need not only to work hard, but also to fully rest – without relaxation you will not be able to restore your strength for new successes. You need to spend your weekends with benefit, take vacations in time and take breaks during the working day.
…Snakes have always inspired fear in people, perhaps because of the presence of poisonous representatives among them, or perhaps because of their unusual appearance. Many people are still afraid of all snakes without exception, regardless of whether they are dangerous to humans. Moreover, some foolish representatives of humanity are trying to destroy snakes wherever they can, considering their groundless fear a sufficient reason for the destruction of a living creature and forgetting that snakes are not only an important part of the ecosystem, but also useful animals for humans, which very skillfully regulate the number of rodents.
Snakes are interesting inhabitants of many zoos in the world. And it is in zoos that people can see how beautiful and interesting these animals are. Recently, we held a series of ecological and educational lectures about the symbol of the year, where we have already raised, among other things, the issue of snake protection. And today, on the day of the new year according to the Chinese calendar, we offer to admire the snakes – the inhabitants of Mykolaiv Zoo – in our photos.
