In 2025-2026, Mykolaiv Zoo and the Mykolaiv Children’s Art School held a drawing competition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Mykolaiv Zoo. The title of the competition, “From Dream to Reality,” reflects the creative process of bringing children’s dreams to life and imagining a bright and peaceful future.
Today, we held the official opening of the exhibition featuring the works submitted by the competition participants, as well as the award ceremony for the winners.
More than 60 children from Mykolaiv, Mykolaiv Region, and other parts of Ukraine submitted their artwork to the competition! It was very difficult to choose the winners from among so many wonderful entries. The works were judged in two age categories. Three winners were selected in each category and received certificates and cash prizes today. Six additional prize winners were also selected and received special encouragement prizes.
All participants received certificates of participation and were invited to Mykolaiv Zoo for the opening of the exhibition and a wonderful celebration, which was made possible with the help of the talented performers from the Mykolaiv Regional Philharmonic. Thank you, dear friends!
We would also like to thank all our young artists for taking part in the competition, for sharing your talent, supporting the zoo, and helping to make the world a better place!
