Congratulations

50 years of work at Mykolaiv Zoo, 50 years of love for animals, 50 years, each of which was difficult and beautiful, 50 years of dedicated work aimed at preserving nature!

For a significant personal contribution to the development of nature reserves in Ukraine and on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of work at Mykolaiv Zoo, the head of the department of carnivores Tetiana Hryhorivna Bondarenko and the deputy head of the department of ungulates and proboscideans Vira Pavlivna Zhuravlyova were awarded the honorary award of the Mykolaiv city mayor "For services to the city of Mykolaiv".

Tetiana Hryhorivna Bondarenko came to work at the zoo immediately after graduating from school in 1974. She worked in the section of the aquaterrarium, in the section of carnivores. In 2006, she was appointed to the position of head of the department of carnivores. She made a significant contribution to the creation and maintenance of the zoo collection, to the preservation of rare species of animals.

Vira Pavlivna Zhuravlyova has also been working at Mykolaiv Zoo since 1974. She worked in the sections of feeding, of carnivorous animals, of live feed, for many years she headed the department of ungulates and proboscideans. Vira Pavlivna made a significant contribution to creating conditions for keeping and breeding rare and endangered species of animals, some of which were bred for the first time on the territory of Ukraine.

The mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Fedorovych Sienkevych personally presented honorary awards to the employees of Mykolaiv Zoo and wished them further successful work and, of course, peace! The zoo team joins in the congratulations!
