On January 25, 2024, another online seminar "Aspects of feeding animals in zoos" was held, which was held by Mykolaiv zoo under the auspices of the Association of Zoos of Ukraine – AZU.

The seminar was attended by experts from many zoos – members of AZU, who were able to share their experience in matters of animal feeding, development of diets, feeding enrichment of animal habitat, etc. The employees of Mykolaiv zoo talked about interesting experiments on enriching the habitat of kinkajou and showed a video recording of animal behavior, reported about the experience of the feed department, the experience of growing fodder animals and the experience of feeding ungulates, aquarium and terrarium animals. Specialists of Cherkasy City Zoological Park "Roshen" prepared a report on the cultivation of fodder objects in the "Aquaterrarium" department and familiarized colleagues with the methodology of calculating and implementing diets in the "Mammals" department. Our colleagues from Odesa Zoo talked about the use of fodder animals in the diets of the animals of Odesa Zoo, and also shared the experience of feeding enrichment of the environment and methods of food presentation using the example of the department of birds of prey and owls.
